Sometimes it is hard to tell what is on the mind of future Hall of Famer, LeBron James. This offseason, he became an unrestricted free agent and shocked the sports world by signing with the Philadelphia 76ers.

On Mind the Game podcast, James recently opened up about the possibility of playing with Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid. He stated that Maxey’s relationship goes beyond the court.

He meets Maxey in the gym every so often and they have a great relationship.

As for Embiid, the most touching comment was when LeBron James stated he wanted to play with Embiid for a championship. So touching because Embiid has never opened his eyes to the possibility of playing with James for a championship.

There are many negative stories in Embiid’s past such as loss execution, Bryan Colangelo, and Ben Simmons. Simmons has an E60 documentary dropping soon about ‘The Truth.’

Regardless, Simmons was never a good teammate to Embiid from a morale standpoint. James pointed out that Embiid has a wonderful family and who could blame him.

James is a family man himself and understands how much it would mean for Embiid to bring one championship home to his son, Arthur, who Embiid has talked extensively about.

Embiid has a track record with his family that only means so much on the basketball court. James and Embiid will be starting Sixers training camp on September 29.
