Dylan Larkin is no longer captain of the Detroit Red Wings and Alex DeBrincat just signed the biggest contract in Red Wings history by earning 7-years, $13 million AAV.

Both are from the Michigan area and add to the 30% of team offensive output. Shawn Horcoff is the new interim general manager and he is ensuring team security with head coach Todd McLellan.

Ever since the loss of Steve Yzerman, there have been changes. People are getting tired of the Larkin trade talk as there have been rumors regarding him and the Minnesota Wild.

Lucas Raymond is the alternate captain and who is to say Larkin cannot stick with the team but considering they just signed DeBrincat to a huge contract. Who would not say Larkin is expendable based off age.

Larkin is 30 years old and has worked fairly decent with DeBrincat. They may want to get younger and find a better strategy to win more hockey games.
