Kyle Schwarber Asked About Joining Hometown Team in FA

When asked about joining his hometown Cincinnati youth in free agency by Scott Lauber of the Inquirer, Kyle Schwarber candidly said, “Being able to play for your childhood team is something that I think it’d be awesome.”

Awesome, you might add Lauber decided to ask, “Being a baseball fan and growing up and watching Cincinnati baseball for your whole youth, that’s how fall in love with baseball, I would draw your attention, right?”

The Reds are in the thick of a Wild Card race with first year manager Terry Francona leading a 58-54 record. Cincinnati has pitching prospects Chase Burns and Rhett Lowder called up and you could argue the best home run leader of his generation compared to Babe Ruth would make a swing for the fences in Great American Ball Park.

Citizens Bank Park might become more dwindling as days countdown. We will never know an answer unless the Philadelphia Phillies, play ball to the drum of the history of Pete Rose, Mike Schmidt, Bryce Harper, and Kyle Schwarber.
