  • Is Bryce Harper Elite?

Last night was a travesty for Team U.S.A. They allowed Venezuela to win cleanly, absolutely fair. There was nothing U.S.A. could do except for Bryce Harper.

Harper tied a must-critical game for USA when it mattered most. Even though Venezuela got away with a win, Harper flipped his bat like nothing came back to haunt him.

Harper has played like this on a lesser stage, just not enough. The Philadelphia Phillies have been asking a whole lot of Harper since entering town.

When ranking the Phillies top five players entering 2026, it is Harper, Scwharber, Duran, Turner, Sanchez that must start with a big impact. If Harper is ever convincing himself, he is prowess to the baseball gods.

Harper will have to play with the same chip on his shoulder until time finally expires. Time expires to the point of exhaustion for Harper to do his job and that is at least win a World Series and prove he is better than all the rest that include Shohei Ohtani, Cal Raleigh and Aaron Judge.

Harper is capable. He just needs to walk out to Phillies regular season baseball with an elite smile. 🙂

  • San Diego Padres Sign Nick Castellanos

Nick Castellanos used to be a third baseman for the Cincinnati Reds and now he is taking his first base talent to San Diego. As reported yesterday, Castellanos and the Phillies parted ways after four heart wrenching seasons that ended with a beer in the Philadelphia dugout during June of last year.

  • Philly Kingdom is Cancelled

Philly Kingdom will be cancelled for the foreseeable future. I would like to thank Michael Mani for taking the time and cooperation.

As for Philly Kingdom, i hope people enjoyed it. However, it is safe to say sports is always at the heart of it all and I will still air here and YouTube.

  • Phillies 2025 MLB Offseason Predictions

    Phillies 2025 MLB Offseason Predictions

The Philadelphia Phillies are coming off a year of certainty. They locked first place of the NL East for the second straight year and look to repeat, once further.

The Houston Astros or Arizona Diamondbacks or Los Angeles Dodgers were playoff losses, but the Philadelphia Phillies fans can take a sigh of relief for what is about to happen, starting with Justin Crawford.

Crawford will start the season most likely at right field and be the determing factor of the MLB offseason. There has been all kinds of rumors swirling around Alec Bohm and several other of the Phillies players and it is hard to buy.

The best bet is the Phillies brought most of their talent from last year, and not blow it up. Beside, this is not a year author of the New York Times, Matt Gelb, becomes decisive of all the Phillies offseason plans blowing up in the face of Phillies fans.

If Philadelphia stays on the track their on, they will reach a point of consistency again with Bryce Harper leading the team to the playoffs without Nick Castellanos in the lineup.

Phillies Rob Thomson has come close in winning NL Manager of the Year and who is not to say he cannot lead the team himself.

  • What are the Next Steps of the Philadelphia Phillies

The next steps of the Philadelphia Phillies have oftentimes been rough, as of late.

Kyle Schwarber just finished a fantastic season with 56 home runs, almost tying Ryan Howard’s previous record. Zack Wheeler undergone surgery for his arm. Bryce Harper proved he was not an elite batter, according to Dave Dombrowski.

The trade speculation has been hot for Harper, in particular. He told the Athletic Saturday, of the betrayal.

The Phillies have up-and-coming prospect Justin Crawford approaching and it would not hurt for them to seek lee way for the son of former All-Star, Carl Crawford.

Not only that, the Phils could sign Kazuma Okamoto who recently became posted by Japan and hosts a real good chance at being one of the best to come out of the 2023 World Baseball Classic.

I would not expect the Los Angeles Dodgers to sign him. If they do, it is a swing-and-miss.

Andrew Painter is also being promoted next year and it would not hurt for the Phillies to take a step back and realize the potential of this team with younger talent.

Bryce Harper’s time is coming to an end.

He has long been a solo mark in the history of Major League Baseball since one of the most historic athletes to land.on the cover of Sports Illustrated. J.T. Realmuto, Bryson Stott, Trea Turner, Nick Castellanos, and Schwarber all supported the move of Harper but that ship has sank since 2022.

The Phillies want to get ahead of themselves before they live in the past and Dombrowski was right.

This is a business decision, not a priceless one. Dombrowski worked with some of the best and he does not want to rip his reputation or Philadelphia. Harper must admit, he has to play better next season, if he truly loves the city of Brotherly Love.

  • What is Next for Phillies?

The Phillies lost their final of the 2025 MLB season 1-2 against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Former Phil and coach Howie Kendrick without no hesitation that the Phils would swing into this series dead even, but instead the worst happened when newer reliever Orion Kerkering blew a game with the waning seconds remaining!

94 WIP, local Phillies radio station, called this a travesty and similar to Ben Simmons not dunking the ball.

It is sour, is it not.

What is worse the Phillies fall back into a scenario they have to regroup with a hopeful new GM, Preston Mattingly, the son of Don Mattingly.

Don has come up across scenarios like this, as a former head coach for the Dodgers. The Dodgers are luckily headed to their 7th NLCS with future Hall of Fame manager, Dave Roberts.

He has just done an absolute job than former interim manager, Rob Thomson.

Thomson faced the questions already last night from reporters whether his job is secure and he simply said the best he could was go check on sixty other heartbroken men that adjourned on the road, just to lose against the Dodgers.

Many questions face the Phillies but it is unfair to say jobs come down to Dave Dombrowski or Thomson at the moment.
