What To Know About Roman Anthony Deal
Roman Anthony has signed an 8 year extension worth $130 million, including a club option in 2034. By that time, current Little Leaguers will be featured in MLB.
The catch is Marcelo Meyer, Ceddanne Rafaela, Garrett Crochet, and Kristian Campbell are mainstays. They have signed early long- term extensions, too, and are set to undergo the next phase of this franchise under the Fenway Sports Group (FSG).
Fans wondered why the Red Sox did not test the waters at the deadline but rest assured they got their man in Anthony who has hit 2 HR, .283 AVG and an .828 OPS.
The question I have is water dominance meaning is Anthony determined to swim and beat Cam Smith, Jacob Wilson, and Nick Kurtz in the AL Rookie of the Year Race?
The Boston Red Sox remain 64-51 in the AL East behind Toronto. You could argue Bo Bichette has returned to his normal scary self as a former top prospect, too. This all remains, in doubt.

What We Learned From The 2025 MLB Trade Deadline
Yesterday, we saw a collassal of trades and, in fact, according to Jomboy Media this was the most entertaining one.
It all began first with Michael Soroka who will be joining Willie Castro in Chicago to compete for a pennant. Both stand servicably well considering they join a winning contender.
In the meantime, Carlos Correa rejoined the Astros after they considered pitching. Correa will play third as Jeremy Pena is the best defensive shortstop without question by looking at his career-high Field percentage.
The one trade that stook out was not Spencer Jones or Paul Skenes. It was Mason Miller. AJ Preller proved to work the phones again but by how much leeway?
The Los Angeles Dodgers receive more ownership suppport than San Diego as Miller would go appreciated to move past Juan Soto and stir things in the Padres competitive bullpen with Jason Adam and Adrian Morejon.
We cannot go without forgetting the Phillies vs. Mets rivalry. The two butted heads as each bought a pitcher and a rental outfielder. Bader can play left and centerfield against his former team while Mullins touches the red apple.
In all seriousness, they were two gaps to fill at closer for both teams going head-to-head in the NL East. Phillies fans will get ready for Jhoan Duran MLB bullpen entrance and wait and see on Ryan Helsley.
Furthermore, it was tight for some but fans got through another deadline and will be back for more MLB coverage or next year of the 2026 MLB Trade Deadline.

ESPN Did Right in Firing Shannon Sharpe
Shannon Sharpe is a 3x Super Bowl champion with the Denver Broncos. Of course, he is going to hold name recognition and wife settlement that he is no longer with ESPN.
Sharpe insisted he was accused of a targeted shakedown. What are there proceedings mistrue?
In certain kinds of cases and instances, NFL players leave the NFL or even wind up in false cases of continuance misconduct and do unnecessary harm.
ESPN did the right move in firing Sharpe. It would have led to an image crisis and ESPN does not need that right now. Sharpe is under the law that he raped a woman and it says a lot.
Fox Sports and ESPN did not need to withhold allegations from October 2024 and beyond and figure Sharpe is a con man for sexual assault that was not consensual.
