  • ‘Let Russ Be’

Lebron James has been playing for the Los Angeles Lakers since him and Anthony Davis started to join forces. Along the way, Russell Westbrook emerged in Los Angeles as well.

In a new book by Yaron Weitzman, Russell Westbrook ’ shouldered’ lots of the blame. After a disappointing ending to the 2021-22 season, James held at bay for the on-court actions by Westbrook.

James would interestingly say ‘Let Russ Be’ and apparently Westbrook never sought that quote as authentic. Things would eventually mount in that relationship between James and Westbrook and along the way become overshadowed by the arrival of James’ son Bronny.

  • The Latest on Kevin Durant Saga

I like to call Kevin Durant a saga almost because it is just that.

First, he wants to leave Oklahoma City for the Golden State Warriors. After he wins a major championship, Durant picks on another legendary teammate in Draymond Green.

These are the tales of Kevin Durant’s NBA career. He went from one of most prominent to complete off the scale.

Mind you he still looks the same after every off-season, players have figured how to hack into the KD program.

It is such as hacking one of Clippers owner Steve Ballmer’s Microsoft machines. You just do not exactly know what is going to process on the scale these days beginning with the Brooklyn Nets.

He wanted to essentially poke fun at the media at futuristic NBA All-Star games with Kyrie Irving and reinvent himself without Russell Westbrook.

Then more recently, he suited up with the Phoenix Suns. Yet, another well-rounded organization and what is the last straw. He attacks respected head coach around the league, Mike Budenholzer.

If you want to switch the station, then do so, but I believe KD is still capable of anything, especially with reports of Westbrook entering back in to the fray.

It maybe always a mystery but not hurtful to find out what kind of magic KD and Westbrook do to co-exist as one for a purpose. That grand staging opportunity of a NBA championship leftover from 2012.

  • Russell Westbrook Did the Reverse of 200 Triple Doubles

Russell Westbrook Did the Reverse of 200 Triple Doubles

Russell Westbrook is a tremendous athletically gifted player. It is the reason he sharpened his way to 200 triple doubles amongst the likes of Magic Johnson, Oscar Robertson, and Nikola Jokic but if it were to be said defense played a factor in the age of basketball that does not equate Westbrook to attaining 200.

It is a travesty for him to go out on these terms. He literally ran his way through the court like a NBA 2K videogame and zoom past defenders. Oscar Robertson, Magic Johnson, and now Nikola Jokic play in an era where they deal with a boatload of traffic and defensive options. With Jokic, he has played sailor man for the Denver Nuggets and win them nonetheless a championship, multiple NBA All-Star nominations, and unforgettably three most valuable player awards.

Ironically, Westbrook is pleading with Jokic and the Nuggets now. It is okay. Westbrook cowardly rose to 200 triple doubles and NBA Hall of Fame voters will take into account his early rise success with the Oklahoma City Thunder as being one factor but the loneliness of Kevin Durant being another.

Andre Robertson dared did not have the punches to give to Durant. But all eyes on Westbrook were he stuck to the status quo which will most likely earn him a HOF vote and championship with coach Mike Malone showering in a Denver ceremonious parade once more.

Russell Westbrook tried his way through multiple teams after OKC that let’s face it, will hang up a statue of him and possibly Durant of feasibly being torch bearers of the newly born franchise out of poor run Seattle but take into account this. Oscar Robertson could be disrespecting Westbrook right now if he stepped back on the court in the 2020’s of NBA basketball.

Many NBA personnel helped Westbrook reach the satisfying landscape he claimed but someday there will be a successor, possibly Jokic.

Jokie has learned to expand in many facets to pass, shoot, and escape unlike Westbrook in becoming the best player he possibly can be for the Denver Nuggets and city that lost Carmelo Anthony and found a way to sacrifice time and draft lower ranked prospects such as Jamal Murray and others.

Team is key and that is what will drive Russell Westbrook to more triple doubles.
