The Mets Must Deliver on Kyle Tucker
Have you ever heard of the movie: John Tucker must die? Well, the Mets must deliver on Kyle Tucker to sign a hefty contract.
They just lost Pete Alonso to the Baltimore Orioles and for what? Because they did not offer Alonso a contract.
As reported by Ken Rosenthal, the Baltimore Orioles have acquired not only Alonso’s services, but Taylor Ward and Ryan Helsley. This will definitively add more power to the Orioles lineup and strike up pitching.
The Mets are the most important subject. They have a chance to add speed and power, too, in Tucker. Tucker is a former World Series winner, who knows how to play in tough, critical situations.
He did not play to his absolute best last season. It did not matter. What mattered was his ability to return from injury and still do average under the conditions in Chicago.
With Juan Soto, they can put to rest some of the clubhouse tension between Alonso and the team last year and sign a nice payday by owner Steve Cohen.

Pete Alonso Grows Strong
Pete Alonso grows strong for the main reason of never letting go. Alonso signed a two year, $54 million deal with the New York Mets during the offseason and it could not have helped more as he has payed dividends with the rumored drama between him and Juan Soto and gone to work with the power tools and terrific on-base percentage to add on NL leading doubles and RBI’s!
This could not have come at a better time for GM David Stearns as he has not only been steering the ship but he equipped talent now to make him a genius this early in the game.
Mets fans are clamoring as the team is currently 17-7 and why not. They are also singing like Charlie Blackmon is around to Francisco Lindor at-batTemptations’ song, “I Got Sunshine.”
Alonso struggled wiith career lows after his great rookie season. For example, Alonso only hit 34 hit home runs and he is a home run king. Since 2019, Alonso has led the NL in homers and who is to say anybody can catch up anytime soon
The question remains what agent Scott Boras will have up his sleeve come time December. Alonso signed for an opt-out so there may be some drama lingering. Although, the important thing is Alonso is feeling in the New York groove right now.
He has been loyal to the city since Alonso first got there and I think 2026 we see Alonso return with the optimism of New York and owner Steve Cohen.
