  • Where Do the Philadelphia 76ers Stand

The Philadelphia 76ers stand as tall leaders of the city and proudly so. There have been no repercussions until the recent 25-game suspension of Paul George. While this is despicable, 76ers fans must take a step back and learn from the credibility of mental health. George took an improper medication, therefore, releasing an apologetic statement.

George was the second leader in 3’s per game, as well as, three-point average. What will be critical down the stretch is George’s lack of shooting in the lineup, as Kelly Oubre is only the type of finisher and defender on both ends of the court. The Sixers were set to face George’s homecoming city, Los Angeles until this happened.

This will be remembered not only because of its impact but due to the fact that the Sixers create enough cash flow for the luxury tax and a cast player to be traded. George will lose $11.74 million because of the detrimental, misunderstood revelation to the city and fans.

First time, Joel Embiid speaks out in many years expressing potential for the team, George goes down. A banking statement for the team would be to add a player that can fit into the ideal culture of Philadelphia such as George.

The national media may think this is a measly deal but George and the Sixers are somewhat a big component to the breathing fresh air of Brotherly Love. He was starting to come into his own until the horrified angst occurred.

George missed much action with the Indiana Pacers and Los Angeles Clippers and was not going to allow the keys to drop, again. Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecomb cannot comprehend probably what is fainting in their own eyes for a short amount of time.

Embiid, though, has a positive remark to say about others all the time and when he speaks, it is a genuine feeling to believe and get behind. Embiid dealt with his own demons in the offseason.

The clock has changed to January 31, 2026 where the 76ers stand tall, today, as victims of the painful system. If they decide to win, the Sixers will do it. If the 76ers want to settle back, they will learn the hard way when jumps of dopamine have led to the downfall of this squad.

    Burned Bridges, Hence PG Enters

Welcome to the story of the fake tale. One, franchise decides to draft a player and then trades him to a city that has no bright air conditioning like the United States East Coast. Then another enters the bright lights of Los Angeles, California, and tries to create an alliance of four elite players. Long behold, things never plot out. It is like the Pixar that appears in the beginning of every Disney featured production.

Players flop and so does Pixar but the underlying story is they retreat and never burn their bridges. In the case of now-Knicks star Mikael Bridges, he took the opposite path from Phoenix to Brooklyn and New York.

Just this offseason, the Knicks prioritized it officially that Bridges be a Knick alongside Villanova alum Jalen Brunson, Donte DiVincenzo, and Josh Hart. One could wonder where Leon Rose went from a sunk organization to potential. The Knicks have reclaimed relevancy once again along with the New York Rangers in Madison Square Garden.

Their 50-32 record spoke for itself last year and could it be accredited to Tom Thibodeau who once always received appraisal by media and those around the league coaching Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls. It is definitely a critical season in store next year but no reason to worry or doubt with the consideration of no burned bridges in mind.

That is Philadelphia’s main problem. They originally drafted Mikael Bridges with the 10th overall pick and failed miserably with the improper front-office personnel to reconsider an individual from the local Philadelphia area and inside the hearts of previously his mom’s daily working job at the box office but not anymore.

From Billy King to Elton Brand, and Daryl Morey there should be little confidence about the 76ers as compared to the Knicks. The 76ers have reportedly signed Paul George to a max contract but that does not strengthen the fact that New York took advantage of burned bridges while Philly demoted from TV-14 to PG rated content.
