  • The Late Return on Chiefs Excellence

The Late Return on Chiefs Excellence

The Kansas Chiefs are Super Bowl champions as Jim Nantz would announce. They had just capped off the inevitable by winning back-to-back Super Bowls since the 2003 New England Patriots but how? Patrick Mahomes trailed the spotlight, for what was an amazing spectacle and journey.

He ran on nifty feet and relied a little to great much on the options bestowed to deliver the Chiefs its fourth Super Bowl championship. Mahomes can do it all and he does it by restructuring his contract most recently.

Mahomes restructures his contract to create $21.6M in cap space for the Chiefs, earning a whopping $450M contract total. The Chiefs want L’Jairus Snead and other ideal contracts but in an age where contracts can go easily wrong in the NFL, they fold their cards on surmounting to overcome any sport cannot stand sometimes and that is time and patience.

Mahomes might be on the run of a lifetime right now but let it not be fooled. It is already concluded Mahomes is no early return to the price store after accomplishing success with Andy Reid and his frequently used West Coast offense. The only receipt coming may be a late return to Chiefs excellence with high regard prestige and healthy signing bonuses.

Chiefs signed Chris Jones to a five-year, $158M contract with $101M guaranteed. The wise move about Jones is that he is a team player who could likely be finishing his career amongst the best defensive linemen at a lower hefty price. If Snead does not pan out, the Chiefs always have a young capable trio of corners.

The Chiefs are going to target and receive who they want at this stage in the game and would it be a surprise if Fox play-by-play commentator Joe Davis announced the Chiefs as reconfiguring winners of Super Bowl 2025.

  • The Summer of Swift and Kelce

The Summer of Swift and Kelce

And so it begins. The opportunity of a lifetime to relish summer love beneath Kansas City temperatures. It was a fond evening. Kelce won a Super Bowl and Swift ran for the nearest suite exit. It was the dawn of a new era in Chiefs Kingdom as the franchise currently holds the title of ‘dynasty.’

The beginning of a dynasty did not come so easy for the Chiefs. The Chiefs won back-to-back Super Bowl titles, something not accomplished since the 03-04 Patriots, and won against the Niners in overtime. It was yet another tight margin such as last year’s Super Bowl between the Philadelphia Eagles (38-35).

A 10-point deficit came clawing toward Kyle Shanahan’s nice but decrepit Super Bowl record as Chiefs Kingdom rose to the occasion and brushed off the coverage Fred Warner was providing Travis Kelce a majority of the game.

This game meant war, faith, courage, and determination and the Chiefs fired on all cylinders. This team was successful in stopping the run and Patrick Mahomes meanwhile became a three-time Super Bowl MVP.

It cannot go without saying the hustle and determination Mahomes put into this entire year and the Chiefs organization as a whole. It is on to the summer of Swift and Kelce as both can now exit Las Vegas peacefully and sing “Yeah” by Usher because boy did they do it.

  • Gratitude.

    Gratitude.

As the 2023 year ends, sports will not. Endlessly so, gratitude is marked with the character of debt. Players, coaches, trainers, etc. feel indebted to filling the Gatorade or hustling extra. The true fundamentals cannot be taught because even though gratitude is self-taught, it is not defined by the cleats worn.

Gratitude, today, nurtures a new beast inside. 2023 leaned memorably on Kelce’s, Knights, and the Joker’s card. Jokic may be wildfire but compared to Embiid. The author would be remiss to rule out the MVP campaign of the Sixers big.

The Kelce’s manifested together a rivalry and podcast, too, but they carved out one feeling of acceptance, gratitude. The ceiling of gratitude has been reached so far. Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes, are in the background, cooking up rings and State Farm commercials. The time of acceptance could not be more merrier.

And the cooperation of ice time is essential. The Vegas Golden Knights were one of the most dominant teams out of any sport and electrified the masses. It was not a preconceived notion as the Knights fought hard and strong and valiantly so in the 2023 sports year, define gratitude.

  • What Does Age 25 Mean for Jalen Hurts?

What Does Age 25 Mean for Jalen Hurts?

Happy 25th Birthday, Jalen Hurts! Now, go on the Madden Cover! Not too soon.

Hurts is coming off an exceptional NFL year where he led 12th in completion percentage (66.5%), threw a 22:6 touchdown to interception ratio, and nearly led the Philadelphia Eagles to a Super Bowl victory over Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs by a final of 38-35.

Do you want to know where Andy Reid was coaching a quarter century ago? Quite simple. The home of Lambeau Field and negative Celcius temperatures in the postseason, during which Mike Holmgren and Brett Favre were still present before Reid ventured to have a successful career in Philadelphia.

The only glaring similarity between Hurts and Reid is they never entirely delivered a Super Bowl championship to Philadelphia. In an excerpt, Sarah Scoop explains:

The number 25 is a very special number in numerology. It is considered to be an angel number, which means that it has great power and potential to lead into a holy year. The number 25 is also associated with the planet Mars, which is the planet of war and aggression.

War and aggression sounds about the attitude Hurts needs to display after losing his job to Tua Tagovailoa in the 2018 Alabama National Championship and having his shortcomings in the Super Bowl. Great power and potential is on the horizon for a player of Hurts’ stature at only 25 years of age.

    She details further:

Some people believe that the number 25 is unlucky because it can represent chaos and destruction. However, this number can also be a sign of good news and new beginnings. The number 25 is all about change and progress, so it is important to embrace the challenges that come with it.

No, I, in the team of the Philadelphia Eagles set to embrace obstacles and challenges set forth, whether it is injuries, sideline negotiations, huddle disputes, streaking Vince Papale walk-ons, or Jalen Hurts. Training camp is a sign of good news and new beginnings
