Nebraska named Dylan Raiola its starting QB less than two weeks from their season opener against UTEP.
Raiola performed very well during the spring game, just enough to appeal to the Huskers coaching staff and be better than his predecessor Heinrich Haarberg who played poorly inside the FBS rankings of quarterbacks last year.
Raiola was highly recruited by Georgia and Texas and decided to play for coach Matt Rhule instead. A bit of anticipation is that he will become the first true freshman to lead the Huskers to a nice total offense record since Aidan Martinez.
