Tommy Edman Listed as Day-to-Day
So much for knowing him as the 2024 MLB World Baseball MVP, Tommy Edman is listed as day-to-day as he battles an ankle sprain rounding first in a hot humid game against Tampa or St. Petersburg.
There is a lot about the future of the Tampa Bay Rays but their competition is steep. Los Angeles bench ranks sixth as of August 4, 2025 compared to 4th, 2024.

The Next Big 3 Has Arrived
Have you ever heard of big 3’s? World domination as I like to call them. It is derive by the strength and numbers of what a ball club, organization, or franchise consist and this year it is no different than what is to come with the arrival of the big 3, again.
I am talking flashing light like always but even louder, noisier, and bigger with the likes of Los Angeles’ own Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, and unbelievably Roki Sasaki.
This is a world domination beginning in Hollywood. The flames are passing along to other’s misery anticipation of the 2025 MLB regular season.
That is not to say what the future holds for MLB as a whole.
The misery was no different for Los Angeles offseason but what they leaned on was the prominent signing of Roki Sasaki and possibly sealing the future of at least years 10 years to start.
Japanese born descent players have changed the game. They are no longer the generation of old that bored the MLB community. Now, it is pop funk fun, only, to the credit of L.A. and that is concerning because we saw the last situation such as this evaporate in the Miami Heat and the Dodgers are set in financial ways like no other.
Ohtani is a phenomenon but history repeats itself with the size and increase and player’s egos and personalities in Major League Baseball. For now, Ohtani, the Dodgers ball club franchise organization unite and lean on last year’s acquisition of Yoshinobu Yamamoto and promising Roki Sasaki who seems to be the silencer from the gate and draw attention like any Big 3.

One Minor Mistake the Dodgers Screwed
The Dodgers exceeded all expectations by signing Tanner Scott, Roki Sasaki, and locking several other players but the other minor mistake at this point was acquiring the services of Yoshinobu Yamamoto.
Yes, he squeezed in alright for the Dodgers this past season with a 7-2 record, 3.00 ERA but there is also a case to be made that Kodai Senga saw further development with time.
The point to elaborate on is the Dodgers are in a bit of a dicey situation right now and they are so many talented pitchers. It is hard to explain where to begin with but on today’s podcast of Sports Kingdom, it was voiced how possible unsustainable Yamamato, Sasaki, and Ohtani can go the distance, on top of that, the host claimed could be wrong the highly coveted free agent of this offseason for example may wind up being a lifetime Dodger which prove Dodgers brass have a great excellent of loyalty and responsibility on their hands going forward.
Honestly, Sasaki will undoubtedly be a proven winner if have shown the right direction by Dave Roberts periodically. The Mets thought they may have struck gold upon Juan Soto but was he showing signs of slowing down in Game 2, as said by several experts?
Crochet should be interesting on the hill for Boston as aligning him with a former winner/Dodger Walker Buehler could equal a bag of success.

Jack Flaherty Realizes his Boyhood Dream
Jack Flaherty has pitched for numerous teams such as the Baltimore Orioles, St. Louis Cardinals, and Detroit Tigers but now that he is a Los Angeles Dodger, his boyhood dream is finally realized growing up thirty minutes from L.A. and living in nearby Burbank, CA sporting Dodgers gear.
Flaherty has pitched a 2.95 ERA in 106 innings pitched to go along with a 3.12 FIP. Again the key has been to motorize the exact zones Flaherty has felt comfortable going on the mound. He pitches these days with different resilience and utmost slickness.
The main question on Dodgers fans’ minds will be how he handles team injuries going forward but just like his days in St. Louis, Baltimore, and Detroit he is used to the pressure and recently for the first time in Dodgers uniform shutout six innings which means he is obviously off to a good start and for the life of sporting Dodgers blue.
