The Boston Red Sox are Going All In

The first major trade of the 2026 MLB Trade Deadline belongs to the Boston Red Sox as they traded Connelly Early for star prospect Curtis Mead. Mead is a third baseman who holds a ton of power and can certainly get a hold of the big wall at Fenway Park.

With a pump of a fist, Boston fans could see Aroldis Chapman the other night rise in glory as the Red Sox sit in third place of the AL East at 54-50 after a 15 game winning streak. One of their longest in Boston franchise history.

Not to say, Chapman has had his troubles in the past. Some players have finally settled into Boston like Chapman, Roman Anthony, Garrett Crochet, and so on.

Earlier in the season, they were ruled out of the AL East but now after this trade. The Boston Red Sox have to be feeling real good about themselves.

As for the Nationals, they acquired Early and underlying metrics tell he can be a 1-2 starter. Even though they are doubters about both the rising potential of Mead and Early.

Mead is going to hit one out of the park and Early will unfold as a solid No.3. Mead’s form reminds me of a Justin Turner who got slacked for better terms in the past future.

Early is going to have to work with a team that has needed the patience of leaving behind Mackenzie Gore.

The AL East looks red hot right now with the Tampa Bay Rays, New York Yankees, and Boston Red Sox. Boston will have to land in nicely as the Rays are playing in the conditions they are and New York.

New York is getting hotter and hotter with the rehabilitation of Gerrit Cole and Cam Schlittler playing non stop baseball. The Yanks won 1-0 the other night to the Phillies if that does not tell people enough of Paul Goldschmit’s solo home run.

The Red Sox will need the help, speed, and distance in this one folks as they begin to go all-in on possibly adding another bat or pitcher.
