It happened at this past Sunday’s Edward Jones MLP Mid-Season tournament where up and comers Anna Bright and Kate Fahey defeated Anna Leigh Waters for her first loss ever in front of a nice summer crowd.
Waters was not shot at too much. There may have been one successful rally as Bright and Fahey’s strategy prevailed.
“It definitely requires discipline, patience. I think it also requires perhaps a lack of pride to an extent, just to kind of say, ‘We’re going to do this, and we’re going to commit to this game plan.’ It’s pretty obvious what we were doing, but it worked,” added Bright. “It worked on the day.”
Anna Leigh Waters is going to have to watch back the tape and see what she can do differently in doubles with her teammate Jorja Johnson in order to settle an easy score. It was easy to note that Bright and Fahey should have waited until the playoffs to unleash their strategy but whatever the internet says Pickle is fair play or Bush league ought to check themselves.
