  • Can Wheeler Overcome the Snakes and Odds?

Can Wheeler Overcome the Snakes and Odds?

    Introduction

Game 1 of the NLCS is finally here. It is the Phillies vs. Diamondbacks at Citizens Bank Park. The fans are roaring, yelling, and chanting loudly and excitedly so. It is their team and Citizens Bank Park altogether that has a chance to win the first game tonight that booms with nothing more than profuse excitement. The classic time for postseason baseball. It feels like the allotted energy and presence that fans of Arizona and Philadelphia provide can be nuanced across the world.

Who Is Pitching Game 1 Of The NLCS?

Zack Wheeler is on the mound for the Phillies. During the postseason, Wheeler is 1-0 with a 2.08 ERA. During the regular season, Wheeler was 13-6 with a 3.61 ERA. Zac Gallen is on the mound for the Arizona Diamondbacks meanwhile. During the postseason Gallen is 2-0 with a 3.18 ERA and finished the regular season extragallonly strong. Assessing these numbers, it will be a anticipatory pitching matchup.

    Lineups

    My Prediction

The Phillies will win game 1. The Diamondbacks will little because they have to see what it is to be undeniably in the postseason. They defeated the Dodgers, but the Diamondbacks still do not know the ambiance of Citizens Bank Park. Plus, the Diamondbacks entered the postseason out of surprisingly slithering. They were not expected to enter. The Phillies, meanwhile, have the advantage and will overcome the Diamondbacks, 10-1.

Key Players To Keep An Eye On During This Game

The first key player to marvel is Corbin Carroll. How come? He has been superb lately and he lands on base. He simply cannot be stopped when he steals.

Also, he has a batting average of .412. He is a fast, agile player and will run so JT Realmuto will have to stop when necessary.

Another player is Bryce Harper. Why? Last time Bryce Harper played he collided with Matt Olson and looked he seriously injured his elbow. This is the same elbow he underwent Tommy John Surgery on. He expressed after the game how his collision did not stop him from celebrating inside the clubhouse amongst his teammates and media.

A third key player to strongly observe is Nick Castellanos. Why? He has also been on fire, at least in the postseason. During the regular season, Castellanos accrued a 1.6 WAR, similar to Reds Will Benson with a 750K yearly salary. Uncalled for but an abundance of home runs and his teammates, fans, and Liam are leaving their seats. I LOVE Liam’s reactions when Nick hits a homerun! He is such a big supporter!

  • Luke Riley is Ready for More

Luke Riley is Ready for More

Luke Riley, 24, has come off easily the biggest victory of his career after defeating Alexander Loof. Yes, Loof might own a shady amateur record but in Cage Warriors, he has been superb, and against Riley, the two went at it like tooth and nail. It was quintessentially the spectacle to be a part of in front of Manchester, England, the city represented by Riley.

Riley showed that his slender build could reach magnificent heights and take down Loof in some rare oddities. It is to be argued that Riley vs. Loof was innovative in the sense that the two cemented Cage Warriors history as one of the best fights of all time.

Riley has distance in terms of build and striking defense, but he is ready for more. He is certainly. After the fight, tenacity, and disregard Riley ranks himself ready to not only as Cage Warriors announcer says propel to the championship picture within twelve months, but he has what it takes period to be a major promotion’s fighting warrior and ascend to the top.

Cage Warriors is a rising prospects promotion that can be seen on UFC Fight Pass. Riley is 8-0 professionally and does not look to abate the adoration fans like Paddy Pimblett attach to him ringside and walk footsteps to the octagon to even congratulate and affirm Riley’s status as a top prospect of Cage Warriors.

  • Bedard is Setting the Standard

    Bedard is Setting the Standard

Connor Bedard has only played two games and he has electrified the masses. To the point, fans ought to take strong consideration of his status as a fellow rookie.

The first night, Bedard set the standard in a back-to-back series of contests between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Boston Bruins. There, he accumulated one point to add to his first-ever goal in the NHL against Boston Swedish goaltender Linus Ullmark.

Ullmark allowed merely one goal in his home victory against the Blackhawks but if Bedard is proving one thing so far it is resilience for his size on both sides of the rink.

He has mastered this time again and will do once more when the Blackhawks enter a rowdy Montreal arena on the 14th of October. Bedard is off to a competitive start.

The key to his success will be limiting bad shots and becoming a less clone of Connor McDavid.

  • Braves Kyle Wright to Miss 2024 Season

Braves Kyle Wright to Miss 2024 Season

The Braves have announced that Kyle Wright will not pitch throughout the National League Division Series or 2024 season. This is unfortunate news, as Jesse Chavez is also out for the postseason.

With a single long rehab and lengthy process, Wright will likely see redemption or his way out of Atlanta. Wright was revealed to have MRI damage on the same shoulder inflammation that caused him to miss parts of 2023, dating back to January.

Atlanta likes Chavez longevity and versatility, but without him and Wright, the Braves will hand the ball to AJ Smith-Shawver and Daysbel Hernandez. Michael Tomlin will also fill Wright’s relief role, but the major storyline is Smith-Shawver possibly receiving the ball behind All-Star Bryce Elder.

Smith-Shawver has pitched six games this season with a 4.26 ERA. He has started five of six performances and appears to possess a sharp 95+ MPH fastball. It will be interesting to see what comes out of Smith-Shawver, nonetheless.

  • Bryce ‘Run Through That Sign’ Harper

Bryce ‘Run Through That Sign’ Harper

One word to describe Bryce Harper is emphatic. Emphatically, he brings it. Tenaciously, he runs it out like a pro, and when necessary, Harper pulls a 45 ACP in the middle of familiar showdowns of his hometown Las Vegas, and delivers. It is the bread and butter to Harper’s life achievements running the base paths.

It all started last night when third base coach Dusty Wathan tried to stop Harper from attempting home. Reminiscent of Pete Rose, Harper removed the helmet and ran blazing. Harper did not stop at the point of no return. He was legitimately gone, and Wathan was not having any of it.

Wathan could not be more glad that the Phillies scored, but waving Harper’s hopes, dignity, and integrity on the base paths proved one notion.

Harper finished with one walk and a strikeout by the Miami Marlins. At one point, Miami received an outstanding play by Jazz Chisholm to throw out Nick Castellanos.

Marlins left fielder was not enough for Harper, as he displayed how to play emphatically and tenaciously on the base paths.
