• Outwitt and Be the Judge

    Outwitt and Be the Judge

Bobby Witt Jr has stormed the baseball universe. Aaron Judge, meanwhile, electrifies it. These two are in a race for AL MVP and there is no misjudging based on Judge’s pathed trail of home runs (51), record-high OPS (1.141), and succinct 9.5 WAR. WAR was exceptionally better in 2022 but also in that year, Judge rose to 55 home runs through that period of September

OPS is far much better for Judge today but do not be outwitted by Bobby Witt Jr.’s outstanding performances soon become the first Kansas City Royal since George Brett in 1993 to win a batting title. Brett was a sensational hitter that eventually matured into 3,154 career hits lifetime.

Witt has replicated the same formula by becoming a challenging hitter and working on his all-around craft. This year, he has amounted to 40 doubles, 30 homers, 30 steals, and 10 triples and he is only 24 years old to go along with Gunnar Henderson who is another league of his own.

The race might feel classy but what this means for Witt can only be judged.

  • Philadelphia Birddogs Reinvented

    Philadelphia Birddogs Reinvented

The Philadelphia Birddogs are reinvented. Perhaps, birddawgs, that is.

Philly could not have started a more positive run than the 2017 season. The 2017 season was a glorious success. Carson Wentz was the highest selling jersey. The Eagles won their first Super Bowl. Nothing could defeat the 2017 season for the Philadelphia Birddogs, at least.

They had overcome extremities from losing Carson Wentz and calling for the next quarterback up, Nick Foles. Foles set the standard for a backup QB to lead his team to the Super Bowl and, also, against Tom Brady. The Eagles eventually won the Super Bowl over the New England Patriots.

They were capable but unable to defeat the Patriots in the 2005 Super Bowl but after the Howie Roseman-Andy Reid conflict of power rose over. Eagles general manager Roseman was able to become one of the interesting figures in football by first drafting Wentz and then collecting a group of players to play and be considered dawgs.

The Eagles have gotten over the hump by winning a Super Bowl in 2018 but fast forward to today, Roseman has begun to reinvent the wheel once more by now inviting the Georgia bulldogs to camp.

More contributions were made by Zack Baun during the Eagles first regular season game but the Georgia Bulldogs or Philadelphia Birddogs encapsulate starting role potential and overall spirit that count toward the Eagles glorious success.

  • How the Dak Honeymoon is Limited

How the Dak Honeymoon is Limited

Dak Prescott has signed a massive contract extension worth four years, $240 million making him the highest-paid NFL player also after agreeing to sign an $80 bonus and $231 in guaranteed money to continue playing for the Dallas Cowboys.

Dak played as an MVP candidate last year and surpassed kinds of his career milestones such as allowing fewer interceptions (9), recording more passing yards (4,516) and touchdowns (36) in a single season. Following this further, he was the first honor All-Pro who soared from a compensatory 4th round pick to highly regarded in the business of the National Football League which leads to this.

How will islands such as Turks and Caicos hold up along with the Bahamas, or the Caribbean? Well, Prescott signed his contract hours prior with and to a Tyreek Hill traffic violation and Cleveland Browns matchup. Prescott has been fair and cooperative to the Dallas Cowboys organization. He has not held out nor bad mouthed the Cowboys. Calling them an eternal brotherhood.

    Likely erasing that notion.

As seen in this video, it is expressed why the Cowboys should not have many concerns but after a massive deal and unclear future. It is quite perplexing how the Cowboys retain the services of Prescott and continue utilizing him.

He has a 2-5 playoff record and could withstand a couple more years with coach Mike McCarthy but Trey Lance and others might also be interesting prospects.

Nonetheless, the honeymoon is booked because Jerry Jones stamped on the promise to Prescott and the Cowboys faithful.

  • Jordan Love is Out with MCL Sprain

Jordan Love is Out with MCL Sprain

Jordan Love will miss weeks due to an MCL Sprain. Doctors cannot ever forecast the legitimate possibility for a quarterback to return from an injury of this magnitude but Love was caught scrambling within the final seconds of the Eagles-Brazil game. The same type of injury, his teammate Aaron Jones sustained last year.

Malik Willis is his replacement for now. The Green Bay front office believes fans have not seen the best of Willis yet and should look forward to the Packets facing a crop of teams going forward after trading for Willis in August.

  • Packers vs. Eagles in Sao Paulo Preview

Packers vs. Eagles in Sao Paulo Preview

The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Baltimore Ravens on season opening night and it was a doozy. Strong enough that Isiah Likely proved to be the least interesting tight-end (again). Lamar Jackson played with an extreme heart and got punched with KC’s odds of winning.

But now it is a different day and on to Sao Paulo as the Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers get set to face each other.

The Eagles come into this year with a new pass rush featuring Jalen Carter, Bryce Huff, Josh Sweat, and others. The Packers are the youngest team in the NFL so watch out for what a veteran Josh Jacobs might even display at this stage of his career.

The Packers ended last year with a surprise playoff win over the Eagles’ nemesis (DAL) and proved their defense not to be a bust. Jaire Alexander is a second All-Pro team corner who also now works with Saquon Barkley’s friend, Xavier McKinney.

There is some good joy to go around, Brazil but nothing like two teams striving to become the top team in the entire NFC this year. If Eagles coach Nick Sirianni does not stay too conservative, Philly has a good chance of winning.

Philadelphia wins over Green Bay: 30-20.

  • NFL Kickoff: Get Ready for a Season

NFL Kickoff: Get Ready for a Season

Let the NFL season officially begin. The Kansas City Chiefs play the Baltimore Ravens tonight at Arrowhead Stadium in a must-win football game. It is a rematch of the close AFC championship game between them last year. This year, Lamar Jackson is a more leaner and stronger quarterback. Patrick Mahomes has taken shortcuts.

Mahomes has been seen with love handles sticking out during the summer days and basking in his second consecutive Super Bowl victory. What can the Chiefs possibly do to duplicate another Super Bowl? Well, they brought back Chris Jones and do not have many holes on defense.

The biggest x-factor comes down to Travis Kelce’s potential this year, along with the rest of the receivers. It is not to be much of an issue, however. The Chiefs have the potential to repeat, while some others do not. For example, the New England Patriots were a franchise that contended in the playoffs year after year and never let up.

Now, it is a different landscape today with the Buffalo Bills on the Chiefs’ back, the Patriots being led by Drake Maye, and the New York Giants continuing a trend with the same tarnished offensive line. It is a game of poke chips and the winner earns one or more Super Bowl victories.

  • Damar Hamlin to Start for First Time Since Cardiac Arrest

Damar Hamlin to Start for First Time Since Cardiac Arrest

Buffalo Bills’ safety Damar Hamlin will start in the season opener at home this Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals via head coach Sean McDermott. It will be his first time starting since the Cincinnati Bengals 2023 game and collapsing on the field due to cardiac arrest.

The Cardinals missed the playoffs with a 4-13 record last season while the Bills were jarred loose by the Chiefs in the AFC Divisional round. Hamlin’s role with the team was previously in danger but he has jumped to a marvelous comeback after surgery and a minor hamstring injury in the preseason.

The safety position is to earn as Cole-Bishop and Mike Edwards will be trying to vie for what approaches in the fall.

  • Smashed Wilson Racquet

    Smashed Wilson Racquet

So, every once in a while there is a story about a starting quarterback named Russell Wilson that people tend to hear about because it was like a smashed tennis racquet.

For all the good and bad reasons, the Steelers announced on Wednesday afternoon Wilson’s QB designation. Wilson led the Seattle Seahawks to two Super Bowl appearances and years later is looking to re-spark that magic with the Denver Broncos and now Pittsburgh Steelers.

Pittsburgh has fought under a new general manager by the name of Omar Khan and he has compiled decent draft picks but nothing too superstar-like since his promotion. Also, he added Andy Weidl who worked closely with the Eagles offensive line and won some division and championship titles along the way.

The main hire is Arthur Smith. Smith is coming off a firing and critics have been skeptical of his two tight-end systematic formations and playing inside the middle of the field with Wilson. One of Wilson’s main areas of concern.

Wilson cannot run like he is fairly used to. And after the past couple of seasons in Denver, he looks lowly more productive with Justin Fields easily ready to take the throne.

  • Florida State Upset by Georgia Tech

Florida State Upset by Georgia Tech

Florida State was upset by Georgia Tech by a final score of 24-21 in Ireland on Saturday. DJ Uiagelelei ended the day with a superb stat line but spent most time throwing within five yards of the line of scrimmage. Last year’s FSU team was undefeated and started discussion of a possible spot in the playoff tournament. As it turns out, Keon Coleman, Jordan Travis, Trey Benson, and multiple others have left the program and it has been a rocky start for the Seminoles under coach Mike Norvell’s and a highest scoring offense from last year.

As for Georgia Tech, they rammed together pretty decent drives, especially toward the end when Florida State answered with a drive of their own, and Georgia Tech responded with a game-winning drive to elicit the strength of its quarterback Haynes King meshed with the offensive line. It was a solid day for Georgia Tech as they now take advantage of a brand new conference race.

  • Molinaless Winemixer

    Molinaless Winemixer

Yadier Molina was born in PR and then migrated to play for the St. Louis Cardinals which lasted 18 MLB seasons as a backstop. He is truly respected by every figure across the league. Fast forward to today, there is a shift being substituted in Molina’s place. It is called the Molinaless winemixer.

Something in simple terms where liquors are mixed but the caveat is this year’s ball club. The 2024 St. Louis Cardinals are currently five games back of a wild card berth but lack some talent including Jordan Walker, Nolan Gorman, Brandon Crawford, and now catcher Wilson Contreras.

Contreras has easily been St. Louis’ biggest star this year with a .849 OPS despite missing seven weeks and now likely the remainder of 2024 due to a hit pitch by Pablo Lopez. It has not bode healthy for St. Louis ever since Molina left as a non-manager especially.

Jobs are at stake including Oliver Marmol, John Mozeliak, and others who have played a part behind the scenes. St. Louis fans can only retort a bit of vitriol at the moment and strive with new catcher Ivan Herrera who was originally graded as the Cards’ sixth top-rated prospect.
