• Interesting MLB Trade Scenario

Hi, and welcome to May’s fool! Where two months from now fireworks will explode on July 4 then decide the outcome of MLB trades. There will of course be the MLB Draft included but what is interesting to note is the capacity for no error with the New York Yankees.

Max Fried is arguably off to an impressive start right now with a 6-0 record and 1.05 ERA. He is healthy and that means the Yankees might be in the market for a talented offensive asset.

Bring in Julio Rodriguez of the Seattle Mariners.

Now I heard the Yankees were zooming Fried and it got me thinking. Why is that in this day and age when it is convenient to fly, possibly? Scouting in the moment is ideal to bolster the outfield between Juan Soto and the New York Mets.

Rodriguez would work with a change of scenery like Fried and help the Yankees win the 2025 MLB World Series. By trading former top prospect Jasson Dominguez who has been struggling too, this would silence the .236 average and add a fielder that is a phenomenon waiting in the balance with Aaron Judge’s slugging power souring for help from few such as Cody Bellinger.

The Seattle Mariners rank fifth offensively total and have been consistently hitting well power wise as a team. They have been hot off the gate and would not hurt to implement Dominguez.

  • Why Bill Belichick is an Absolute Genius, Again

Why Bill Belichick is an Absolute Genius, Again

Belichick is back in hopes of accomplishing a final comeback story with the North Carolina Tar Heel program. Much like Belichick over the past couple years, UNC has wanted to restructure things and one of them is add Jordan Hudson, daughter of a parental bankrupt business in 2000.

Now, Hudson is not bankrupt with the current situation laid in front of her. In fact, this is a wise decision for Belichick to test his strengths and abilities as a head coach and terms off the field with a pro-style QB recruit such as Bryce Baker.

Trust me when I tell you. Baker will not scavenger hot potato emerging out of the oven in terms of a stylistic offense and where the landscape of college football has been interestingly going. Pro-style is the blueprint of what it is to come not only with Belichick but the entire landscape.

By the time college season commences, players and teams will have an opportunity to see North Carolina. The returning offensive linemen are the type that will provide Belichick the jolt he feels off the sideline but wide receiver is the questioning part.

There was not much productivity last year at that UNC football position but they did recruit Adrian Wilson out of Pflugerville, TX and he will be favorably good. This team will be prided on its offense and improving defensively, especially in the media until patience starts to become a key virtue.

  • Paddy Pimblett is the Greatest UFC Fighter of All-Time

Paddy Pimblett is the Greatest UFC Fighter of All-Time

Paddy Pimblett is no secret. He comes from Huyton, United Kingdom and is a bloody you know what. He likes to eat food in his spare time and basically prepare for cage time.

He is the prototype UFC superstar.

He recently defeated the former face of Bellator and pride of Missouri University, I might add, Michael Chandler.

Chandler has been steamrolling with great fights to McGregor, Justin Gaethe, Dustin Poirier but no wins in the handbag.

Pimblett has not put together his wins effortlessly. He has perfected a masterclass in front of our eyes since Cage Warriors.

I knew since Cage Warriors and the uprising dedication that place had in the likes of Luke Riley, Conor McGregor, and Ilia Topuria that Pimblett was going to be destined for greatness similar to McGregor but better and we are only seeing the beginning at age 30.

He possesses one of the strongest MMA IQ’s next to Jon Jones. That says a lot considering these days, Jones has matured into a Heavyweight and taught multiple seminars in his spare time.

The age gap is a huge difference from what is described as an uproar battle for Pimblett whose charisma and theme music scream satisfaction and love from the audience that support the star but most of all from a grappling and submission standpoint.

  • Matthew Schaefer is a Typical New York Islander

Matthew Schaefer is a Typical New York Islander

The New York Islanders have dealt with waves of leaders over the years that include John Taveras and Brock Nelson to name a couple.

Matthew Schaefer is the consensus No.1 pick on the clock for the New York Islanders and isn’t it ironic that Long Island has a cool accent first of all.

Secondly, the top college radio school in the country I attended for a period of time and die hard fans next to others in the northeast specific area of hockey.

Nelson was a good soldier but the Islanders recently dealt him and figured he did not match to expectations. Nelson, much like Taveras, however, stood to carry the logs of this team and city together as one.

Enter Matthew Schaefer who suffered a broken clavicle injury and series of mono in the fall. Is this the talented star but supposed risk and setback that comes with signing Schaefer and skilled talent aforementioned in New York?

Schaefer might be one of the best defenseman to come out since Cale Makar but I do not believe that because he will have to work on more to be just the best for this wonderful sports entity that is the New York Islanders.

  • Are the Sixers Starting to Become a Complete Embarrassment?

Are the Sixers Starting to Become a Complete Embarrassment?

The Philadelphia 76ers are on the clock with Jared McCain representing the team at the 2025 NBA Draft lottery out of Duke. It would be interesting if the Sixers landed foreseeable No.1 pick Cooper Flagg but the odds are slim every year.

The Sixers have become a complete embarrassment since Julius Erving last schooled the city on basketball education with Moses Malone. Not the assertive argument of practice by Allen Iverson who was a great Sixer himself.

Pat Croce was a great supervisor in the Sixers efforts towards their last championship appearance against the Lakers but ever since. It has become a cesspool.

Yesterday, Joshua Harris announced to the world he and the Washington Commanders will be hosting the 2027 NFL Draft but what is worse is that this team is being easily forgotten about compared to some of the best franchises in sports.

Harris is a business mogul and he tried with several general managers such as Sam Hinkie, Bryan Colangelo, and Elton Brand but the time has come to question this city because there are rumors the prestige is sometimes on the line moving to Camden or Chinatown.

Daryl Morey is the current general manager, the orthodox hero of claiming James Harden in his glory days and you best believe Philadelphia makes some noise because that is what they always do as the home of Independence Hall.

  • What Has Happened to MLB Network Recently

What Has Happened to MLB Network Recently

MLB Network started in 2010. Since then, it has succeeded with tremendous guests and entertaining segments.

The Network has been a backbone of the Legacy Media for years but what is underlying recently is the shift of direction MLB has decided.

It might be the month of May but MLB Network could be more engaging. Every year, it is and strives to deliver offseason content that entices the viewers even more with extravanga.

The only caveat I have is the current employees. I cannot be more critical as Harold Reynolds, Greg Amsinger, Dan Pleasac and some have stayed. There are certainly some different graphics too but it is somewhat mesmerizing that MLB commissioner Rob Manfred is successful but the Network is a little stagnant especially with online media these days.

I had the privilege to talk with former MLB Network personality Scott Braun and he did not provide comment to the difference of MLB Network and podcasting such as Foul Territory.

MLB Network lost a valuable personality in Ken Rosenthal and people tend to read his article or news updates in the Athletic. There is a bit of a sloppy slope Manfred or MLB must view and address to refocus The Network.
