    Brandon Graham Announces Retirement

Brandon Graham has announced his retirement at the age of 36. It comes off heels of playing in Super Bowl LIX and striving to return to the field just weeks after injuring his triceps during week 12.

The man who stripped-sacked Tom Brady and cost the New England Patriots Super Bowl LII, Graham has been largely a key integral part of the Philadelphia Eagles. He is the franchise leader in games played at 206 and his final sack was in Week 12 that moved him past Clyde Simmons for the third most in team history with 76.5 — behind only Reggie White and Trent Cole.

“Over the course of his 15-year career, he produced so many memorable moments, both on and off the field. His 76.5 sacks are the third-highest total ever by an Eagle and, of course, he will forever be remembered for his game-changing play in Super Bowl 52, but it was the way he played the game and the way he carried himself that earned him the love and respect of his coaches, teammates, and fans. The positive energy he brought every day was infectious, whether it was a practice, a game, or just walking around the building. Anyone who has had the pleasure of interacting with him would tell you that it’s impossible to have a bad day after being in his presence. Make no mistake, he was also a tough, physical, and talented player who has played an integral role in the success we’ve had over the years.

“In addition to being one of our all-time greats on the field, Brandon has always represented this organization and the City of Philadelphia with exemplary leadership, integrity, and class. Along with his trademark smile and warm demeanor, he treats everyone with respect and has been incredibly giving of himself to others, which is among the many reasons why he was a two-time Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award nominee. Of all the things that make him special though, it is Brandon’s character and gracious nature that have always stood out to me the most. We could not be prouder of the player, person, and family man that Brandon has become.

“Although Brandon is officially retiring as a player, we know that his impact on our team will continue to be felt for many years to come, whether it is through the culture he helped build or his future endeavors. On behalf of the Philadelphia Eagles, we congratulate Brandon on an incredible career and wish him and his family all the best in retirement.”

For his 15-year career, Graham totaled 487 tackles, 153 quarterback hits, 126 tackles for loss, 76.5 sacks, 22 forced fumbles and seven fumble recoveries with one returned for a touchdown. Off the field, he was recognized for his work in the community as the team’s Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award nominee in 2022 and 2024.

  • Three New Team NFL Quarterbacks in 2 Meek Days

Three New Team NFL Quarterbacks in 2 Meek Days

So, the tracks are turning and the birds are chirping during this time of year. It is almost spring you would know it which means players have to earn their pay checks whether that is dream resort vacation, Spring party atmosphere, or bodily.

Geno Smith was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders to play for his former head coach Pete Carroll. It was solid move considering Smith is 34 and has nothing to lose now working with a well-sought after coach. Carroll was supposed to visit the Chicago Bears and even the New York Jets but he stuck with whatever his instincts told him to do which was retrieve Smith after record setting years individually but not so much to Seattle.

Sam Darnold, meanwhile, as of almost thirty minutes ago became available and took a feasible offer with the Seattle Seahawks. This does not rule out the fact, he has a great former pass-coordinator by his side from San Francisco, Klay Kubiak, who in fact, became offensive coordinator shortly before March commenced.

I think given coach Kyle Shanahan’s poor track record. It might be easy to assume that Kubiak will be the successor to his throne in San Francisco very soon as the current regime does dislike losing as an answer. Coaching though will go extremely apart from what Darnold performs now, as he signed for the money and you could see that clearly on his face at a TGL golf tournament recently. It might take some time for Darnold to process the 12th man.

Justin Fields, also, found a new place in the New York Jets. I did not see that coming as the Jets failed in terms of drafting and bettering the offense around Aaron Rodgers and circling around the former Super Bowl XLV MVP for unworthy player endorsements and Davante Adams being released moments after the season.

Fields just does one thing. He takes a kick into the turf and starts running as fast as he can. Otherwise, his ceiling especially in front of a bunch of New York Jets fans, is to perform but have not see that, before with Michael Vick. Both, were well-materialized as Vick left and played Pittsburgh, much like what Rodgers will tend to do in the future, but with all that being said.

Sam Darnold serves as the best chance this off-season. Good work to the Seattle Seahawks and what is to come for the rest of the National Football League, in 2025.

  • Travis Kelce Plans to Return for ’25 Season

Travis Kelce Plans to Return for ’25 Season

Travis Kelce plans to return for ’25 season. He says the following to ESPN.

“I’m coming back for sure.” Going to try to get to the best shape I’ve been this offseason and get back to the mountaintop. Got a real bad taste in my mouth with how I played in that last game and how I got the guys ready for battle.

“I can’t go out like that!!!!”

And this is off the heels of a confirmation by Chiefs general manager Brett Veach and personality Pat McAfee.

This is of kind unreal to put into perspective.

Veach goes on record to confirm the following then McAfee looks better than ESPN reporter Adam Schefter.

Since when did, McAfee overtake the responsibilities of Schefter? I digress, Veach wants Kelce more than anything after an abysmal Super Bowl loss and righteously after even surpassing Jerry Rice’s reception record.

That did not serve enough justice for the hair, outfit, Taylor Swift, camera film, and Heights podcast to release a statement with his brother Jason that the first butt kicking Super Bowl over his sibling just was not enough.

Let me be clear and explicit, Travis is one of the best tight ends to ever touch a football with over 1,000 receptions, 12,451 receiving yards by his understandable partner, Patrick Mahomes, and packing on fifth all-time receiving touchdowns (77).

    But that is not all.

Travis has no misogyny and that is him. He loves Taylor Swift’s music albums. But, one thing that sets him apart from the rest is that he is a hustler from my point of view. He will come back, it is a matter of time.

  • Do Not Make the Travis Hunter Story Complicated

Do Not Make the Travis Hunter Story Complicated

Travis Hunter is a two-way star out of Colorado University. He was highly recruited by coach Deion Sanders and played good enough to earn this year’s Heisman’s award.

Now what I am not understanding is why teams such as the Tennessee Titans (No.1) followed by the Cleveland Browns are making things sound complicated about Hunter? Browns GM Andrew Berry goes on to state that given the opportunity, Hunter will most likely play wide receiver and punt returner but that does not mean we should rule out the eligibility of Hunter’s abilities on both sides of the field.

Last year at Colorado, Hunter played 86.8 percent of offensive snaps for Colorado while on the defensive side, he performed 82.9% of reps. Just think about that, traveling back and forth, from play call to executional work.

Hunter has the ability to go the distance whether offense, defense, special teams or splitting it meticulously to start the season with the Tennessee Titans or Cleveland Browns.

The Titans coach Brian Callahan has said to be cautious but there is also the Cleveland Browns who have not been successful in finding a premier athlete such as Hunter and begging he does not get hurt. It could be a win unlike the column shows in Cleveland.

The NFL Draft Combine begins Thursday, February 27 and expect Travis Hunter to turn some scouts’ faces along the other likes of Abdul Carter, Tyler Warren, and Ashton Jeanty.

  • Are the Cowboys Unveiling ‘Too’ Much?

Are the Cowboys Unveiling ‘Too’ Much?

The Dallas Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones recently pointed out that the team plan to be ‘selectively aggressive.’

Cause for concern, you might ask?

Of course, when you consider the 2024 offseason moves such as Rico Dowdle, Stephon Gilmore, and Tyron Smith just to name a few.

Dowdle was a key cog in their offense but as for Smith and Gilmore. They did not succeed to have one of their most prime years in a Cowboys uniform.

As for the rookies, Tyler Guyton had a weak rookie season and will work with the new coaches on staff to deliver a redeemable and Marshawn Breeland seems to be a highlight reel, at least, waiting.

He accumulated an average PFF rating and put up decent pressure numbers to finish 2024.

But the main issue, once again lingers back to the mouth of the Jones’ family. If they just let the darn team go out and play football for one year or two, they might be on to some better traction.

Instead, poorly judged remarks at the wrong time enter a wrong phase of Cowboys football and the entire NFC East.

  • Is Cam Ward Geno Smith 2.0?

Is Cam Ward Geno Smith 2.0?

Cam Ward is a talented player. No doubt about it out of Miami U in fact most good players emerge out of MIA.

Regardless, what remains is how good and elusive speed wise Ward is going to be on the ground. He will translate to a big arm down the slot but what is most concerning is his track record of inconsistencies on the field with his delivery ala Geno Smith.

Geno Smith talked a good game in the past but like many of the quarterbacks that came before and after him is his ability to scramble and throw with accurate delivery of maturing.

The only difference between Ward and Smith is one can really scramble but the other can always plant feet first and throw without jeopardizing a side-arm.

Decision-making and mobility will ultimately decide the outcome of Ward as we enter the 2025 NFL Draft Combine and what is the most intriguing option is stability in the pocket.

Imagine a Cam having a multitude of ways of scanning the field. Well, that is not the case with Ward. He must stay un-throttled and play to his strengths.

  • Why Travis Hunter Headlines the NFL Combine List

Why Travis Hunter Headlines the NFL Combine List

Travis Hunter is the latest prospect to enter the hunt for the NFL Draft combine. Standing at 6 foot 1, 185 pounds, he has stood the test of time whether through Shaddeur Sanders shadow, Colorado’s program of training and scouting, or Deion, of course.

But, the main thing is Deion Sanders is no longer his coach entering this list of NFL Combine rejects and prospect knuckleheads. Hunter has the biggest smile, attachment to Colorado and now this list of what is to come.

Hunter comes at you like a bulldozer, you just do not see it. He presses at you, and then as time ages he becomes a threat in the open field with his elusive speed which will do the talking come time Combine.

We witnessed the Super Bowl and I do not think there has been this much excitement around a prospect following in quite sometime basically because he is the quintessential masterpiece that worked behind Shaddeur, first and foremost, and he is going to outshine, regardless and make the Combine become more meaningful in recent years.

Not the quarterback, they have failed, upset, and disappointed since Dan Marino, Tom Brady, and John Elway for example, and it is a crisis that Matthew Stafford and maybe a few other quarterbacks at the top of discussions this swirl or time of year tend to fall out of line of what it is today’s lineage.
