Ongoing LIVE Coverage of Los Angeles Chargers vs. Detroit Lions
Rookie Nikko Reed picks off the Detroit Lions for a touchdown by Kimani Vidal.
Sterling Sharpe now being interviewed says he just wanted to play in the NFL. He never wanted the accolades. He acknowledges his brother, Shannon, and talks extremely fast about cigars, drives, and retirement.
Chargers lead 14-0 as Kyle Allen throws another interception to Jefferson with two minutes remaining in the first quarter. Not looking like the premier Texas five star high school recruit at this moment.
A nice 20 punt yard return by Dominic Lovett who led Georgia for a year in receptions. As a seventh-round pick, he might have a chance to earn a roster spot and make his way from special teams to slot receiver.
Chargers lead 14-0 with twelves minutes on the clock and Reynolds converts a first touchdown! Jared Goff being talked about by NBC announcers as he walks around a little nervously on curious camera.
Lovett really making an impression! His helmet comes off with about a mid yard gain but still rises to his feet! Kyle Allen goes for it on fourth after the miraculous hurrah and converts. Allen and Lovett slowly connecting the dots as they enter the red zone. Jabari Small increases the load with a running back gain.
Lovett now honing in on the pressure with Allen as they hit the wide hash mark. The Lions are in the goal line. Reynolds, touchdown! Good variance, of running backs and playcalling as they get their mid-target downfield for a touchdown! 14-7.
Two minute warning.
Jared Allen talking now about his fat and the other Hall of Famers. Allen briefly smiles and takes in the night like he classically did throughout his career with flashbacks of his NBC player introductions.
Touchdown, Chargers! And, to be honest, these balls are streaking down field. No one is taking Trey Lance serious as the game is only in the winds of the second quarter of a Week 1 Preseason meeting.
Back with Allen, and Derrick Thomas grew as an inspiration and standard to not fold in Kansas City. The mullet is mentioned and a screen is shown of Jaromir Jagr, Brian Bosworth, and Andre Agassi, and poll question. Who rocks it better? I think Bosworth even though Jagr owns hockey integrity.
21-7 Chargers. This concludes the ongoing LIVE coverage of Chargers and Lions.

Jaylen Warren’s Time to Steal the Spotlight
Jaylen Warren is an undrafted NFL player out of Oklahoma State that reappears daily every so often. He transferred from college to university and now has a job in the NFL.
But what is interesting is that he shares a job with University Cal legend, Aaron Rodgers. Yeah, he owns a position, that can dominate and exceed expectations from the moment the horse race begins in Pittsburgh starting with preseason.
He will have to shape for a battle between Caleb Johnson and at 26 determine the load without now Los Angeles Charger, Najee Harris.
Warren is a receptive pass runner and go getter in between the tackles. He can do a multitude of things and try to make the depth chart.
Warren is the most interesting project of them all coming out of training camp. I am honestly most surprised out of the lack of social media love for Mason Rudolph but that is a different story.
This team will be good is as long their dynamic force in the style of Aaron Rodgers and Jaylen Warren, possibly and erasing past controversies.
