There’s a New Goat-ee in Miami
He may not run as pretty or be brought to fame or glory through a prominent high school but Jaime Jacquez Jr. in just his first season has turned heads. Most particularly, for his management to stay poised for an outside lottery pick from last year’s NBA Draft.
Let it be known, that Lebron James was once the king of Miami. He even conceded on the Mind the Game with JJ Redick most recently that he wishes there was a rewind button to 2012 when James captured his first-ever NBA title. But that’s neither here nor there.
Jacquez has developed a good relationship and rapport with teammates very quickly and become a popular celebrity amongst singing stars. He is a popular target on the court when looking for the three-ball as only a rookie.
The Heat have dealt with a misfortune of injuries and losses but Jacquez Jr. has been there in critical moments to erase doubt of missing the playoffs and brightening the future. With Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler under contract, Miami can certainly work off Jacquez’s college impressive track record and hard work entering the NBA.
He is a former Pac-12 Player of the Year and helped UCLA tremendously before leaving. Ironically, his father always bequeathed the ethos of Pat Riley. Now, Jacquez is receiving a piece of humble pie once more with Riley and his own win-now culture in Miami.
Jacquez Jr. is averaging 12.3 PPG, 3.9 RPG, and 2.6 AST. He is not fairly averaging the best numbers beyond the arc but he will persevere. He has improved from the post, and court vision and needs to always keep an ear for what his father says which is hustle.
There is a lot of reason to believe Jacquez Jr. was not thrown into a deal for Damian Lillard or any other superstar. He could not be happier in Miami on the East Coast and lead as the new goat-ee of Miami going forward.

Fear the Deer
The Milwaukee Bucks compiled a 30-13 record and fired new head coach Adrian Griffin. It came as a bit of a shock to the media but not around the league. It was a true send-off to the incoherent vibes felt in Milwaukee.
Hence enters Doc Rivers. Rivers voices at his press conference almost a quiet disdain for the lack of aggressiveness on Milwaukee’s end. It is called, ‘This could not have come anytime soon enough.’
The Bucks are on the cusp of something special. They may not be too far off but they have coherence based on their net rating– 10th in the NBA. Add in the excitement on offense with Damian Lillard, Khris Middleton, and Giannis Antetokounmpo. They have the third-best offensive rating, scoring 120.1 points per 100 possessions.
The Bucks are on a clear mission this year. Enter the playoffs this year and make it prestigiously sound with Doc Rivers. Rivers does not seem too far intentionally vague when he mentions.

Gores Under Scrutiny Again Following Boston Loss
The Detroit Pistons were defeated by the Boston Celtics in overtime by a final score of 122-128.
The biggest takeaway is Cade Cunningham. Even though he delivered a solid shooting night with 31 points and key defensive plays, he was not to be found in critical possessions with the ball in his hand. Instead, it was Bojan Bogdanonovic with the overwhelming pressure of dribbling and counteracting the situations of carrying the load. He finished with 17 points and an astounding 12 rebounds to lose under Tom Gores.
Tom Gores has undeniably mishandled the Detroit Pistons organization by the scene of tonight’s finish to Detroit vs. Boston. Detroit gained an opportunity to snap a 28-game losing streak but failed because Gores refuses to pay. It is no underlying fact to the Pistons’ ensuing season.
Game after game, they fight. No matter the consequence, these Pistons work relentlessly and Jalen Duren played effortlessly.
Isiah Stewart, earning some trade interest, was injured including Monte Morris. As for the Celtics side, Jaylen Brown permitted no shade in Jayson Tatum’s performance. Tatum was not clutch this go around, per usual (46%), but managed to play inside the paint.
It does seem after all Tatum is emerging into a legitimate Eastern Conference threat for a very long time. Who else is contributing is Kristaps Porzingis understanding of where to position on the court.

It is his simple assignment of doing because otherwise tonight Porzingis proved reason to believe he could and can shoot from outside sharply.
