Why Paul Skenes is Problematic
Paul Skenes is extremely talented. He is known to some to be the next Rodger Clemens based off polarity. What is defining or characterizing is his team background.
He does not like ownership and makes that evidently clear. And, also, what is the deal with the Pittsburgh Pirates teammates?
They are not rallying behind Skenes sometimes and that is a problem despite the fact. He is an adept fastball pitcher.
It is interesting to note that Skenes is talented and social media sometimes affect the outcome of baseball games. Well, Skenes was present to an extent this off-season with his girlfriend Olivia Dunne and I think it has a tendency to do with the Pirates 15-29 start.
Something has to be said for this uncalled milieu. Skenes is better than and he knows it. I think the Pirates will trade him because of the depth he brings and riddance of a tremendous woman’s gymnastics athlete who has crossed sports to baseball social media and the cleated shoes of former top prospect, Skenes.

Baseball Got it Right with Pete Rose
It took a while but MLB has now officially lifted the ban of Pete Rose and we can all rejoice. Rose was an integral part of the Cincinnati Reds and Philadelphia Phillies and throughout that time, he served the bravery of three World championships, 17-time all-star selections, and 1973 NL MVP.
He was a classic to watch as the committee also reinstated shoeless Joe Jackson from further ago and leaves question to the Hall of Fame eligibility of Rose. Just how many roses will the termed ‘hit king’ receive now, deceased?
It is unfortunate that is the case but it will first take five to prove all the naysayers including ESPN’s lead contributor Tim Kurkjian who came out ruthlessly about the United States president intervention with Rose’s reinstatement.
There are people within the game simply upset about Article 21 but at the end of the day. It is about accolades in any sport and even though gambling should not be permitted at all. There should not be disrespect at all for a former player/manager such as Rose who was a joy to spectate.

Why the Phillies Should Trade Kyle Schwarber
Kyle Schwarber is batting .268 with 14 home runs and 32 RBI’s. Not bad considering he was struggling to stay afloat in Washington, Boston, and you could add Chicago. Chicago was a great easy transition for him as he became drafted originally a fourth overall pick. Some said, he would not mount to that selection but peaked at times he is now.
It is to be said Schwarber is the crumb of the wood so to speak. He can hammer it to mostly right field where they have been casted off to and ranks 57th in MLB league exit velocity.
Isn’t that strange?
One of the best home runs leaders with Aaron Judge, Shohei Ohtani, and Cal Raleigh cannot especially be criticized for being 5 foot 10 and equipped to run average but hard for the city and newest community of his in Philadelphia.
He has established a hard-felt relationship with the law enforcement of Philadelphia and organizations that stemmed to his player as a Phillie. He has also had a stake in Bryce Harper’s career but the former Sports Illustrated cover at teenage years begins to face the question whether he wants to play designated hitter considering all his mileage and determination to play extended years with the organization.
Is Schwarber well-suited?
The OPS does not really stand to what he might demand on the market but by now Schwarber has bounced from team to team and been playing in his prime. Critics question if time can only take a step further to the player Schwarber is.
Schwarber’s scouting report in high school read improvement catching behind the plate and good approach to not only the game but decent strength of power to his bat which has kept him away from meager performances.
The Phillies have incoming prospects such as Justin Crawford, Aidan Miller, Otto Kemp, MIck Abel, and Andrew Painter approaching and it would not hurt to second guess how much Philadelphia is spending into their offense much so their bullpen with recent promotion such as Orion Kerkering being a suspect of things to inspect.
Miller, to say, is the Phillies top prospect since August 1 hitting a .906 OPS accrediting his teammate Justin Crawford for his mental success so that is a considerable good thing that these young players are in their zone and playing consistently who now rests on Painter. A solid top-rated pitching prospect within the Phillies organization and possibly the best ever developing a nice curveball this spring training right next to the tutelage of Phillies future Hall of Famer, Cole Hamels.
Schwarber is a good player but the market and prospect system will determine everything to possibly strike a trade deal. Trea Turner is the Phils best player again with a .306 average and I certainly believe manager Rob Thomson is opening the cracks for more younger players such as Bryson Stott and Alec Bohm to establish themselves in the lineup being homegrown.

Eagles vs. Cowboys to Start the Season
The defending Super Bowl champions Philadelphia Eagles will face their favorite NFC East rival Dallas Cowboys at home to start the NFL regular season opener. It will be competitive as the likes of Jihaad Campell and Micah Parsons will suit up and go to work for the first time in 2025.
Dak Prescott returns from a 2024 week 9 hamstring injury in hopes of collecting his 10th win over the Eagles. Prescott has been mostly successful with a ratio of four losses and might bounce back considering he now plays with George Pickens and Cedee Lamb.
Lamb, in my honest opinion, was never a reliable No.1 so to bring in Pickens is huge with the loss of Ezekiel Elliot, especially. It is going to take an emerging running back and good defense once again to defeat the Eagles who re-signed most of their talent over the offseason with confidence and hope that they can repeat.

Interesting MLB Trade Scenario
Hi, and welcome to May’s fool! Where two months from now fireworks will explode on July 4 then decide the outcome of MLB trades. There will of course be the MLB Draft included but what is interesting to note is the capacity for no error with the New York Yankees.
Max Fried is arguably off to an impressive start right now with a 6-0 record and 1.05 ERA. He is healthy and that means the Yankees might be in the market for a talented offensive asset.
Bring in Julio Rodriguez of the Seattle Mariners.
Now I heard the Yankees were zooming Fried and it got me thinking. Why is that in this day and age when it is convenient to fly, possibly? Scouting in the moment is ideal to bolster the outfield between Juan Soto and the New York Mets.
Rodriguez would work with a change of scenery like Fried and help the Yankees win the 2025 MLB World Series. By trading former top prospect Jasson Dominguez who has been struggling too, this would silence the .236 average and add a fielder that is a phenomenon waiting in the balance with Aaron Judge’s slugging power souring for help from few such as Cody Bellinger.
The Seattle Mariners rank fifth offensively total and have been consistently hitting well power wise as a team. They have been hot off the gate and would not hurt to implement Dominguez.

Why Bill Belichick is an Absolute Genius, Again
Belichick is back in hopes of accomplishing a final comeback story with the North Carolina Tar Heel program. Much like Belichick over the past couple years, UNC has wanted to restructure things and one of them is add Jordan Hudson, daughter of a parental bankrupt business in 2000.
Now, Hudson is not bankrupt with the current situation laid in front of her. In fact, this is a wise decision for Belichick to test his strengths and abilities as a head coach and terms off the field with a pro-style QB recruit such as Bryce Baker.
Trust me when I tell you. Baker will not scavenger hot potato emerging out of the oven in terms of a stylistic offense and where the landscape of college football has been interestingly going. Pro-style is the blueprint of what it is to come not only with Belichick but the entire landscape.
By the time college season commences, players and teams will have an opportunity to see North Carolina. The returning offensive linemen are the type that will provide Belichick the jolt he feels off the sideline but wide receiver is the questioning part.
There was not much productivity last year at that UNC football position but they did recruit Adrian Wilson out of Pflugerville, TX and he will be favorably good. This team will be prided on its offense and improving defensively, especially in the media until patience starts to become a key virtue.
