    Los Angeles Rams: B+

I am a huge Ty Simpson fan when it comes to this pick. He leaves the same intensity for Alabama and now Los Angeles. Stetson Bennett may have been a step back in recent years but I think Simpson can definitely learn from a pro’s pro Matthew Stafford and grasp information as time goes forward.

    Dallas Cowboys: B-

Cowboys receive a B- for drafting Caleb Downs. Downs slipped but for huge reason. I would argue he created a lot more buzz entering college than he did exiting.

As for Malachi Lawrence, we have seen this before with Demarcus Lawrence. Only, Demarcus’ time had abated.

    Kansas City Chiefs: A-

The Chiefs filled the room with one objective. Get a guy to disrupt the quarterback and they did that successfully.

    New York Jets: C+

The New York Jets continue to reinvigorate the roster and they drafted David Bailey, Kenyon Sadiq, and Omar Cooper Jr. Bailey was undoubtedly a better pick than Fernando Mendoza.

    Las Vegas Raiders: D

The Las Vegas Raiders drafted Mendoza with the first overall pick and the quarterback did not even shake Rodger Goodell’s hand. The arm is a little questionable, to me, since he emanates from a great, souring Indiana program.

    Tennessee Titans: A

Carnell Tate is an excellent player. The Titans and Robert Saleh not only draft another viable OSU wide receiver, they add one right beside Jermaine Johnson.

    New York Giants: C

I did not like the Giants picks on Night 1. I, however, liked the uplifting speech by Francis Mauigoa about letting loose, similar to Will Campbell’s draft night audition.

    New England Patriots: B-

OT Caleb Lomu is an assurance policy on the right side.

    Los Angeles Chargers: A+

Akheem Mesidor is the sleeper of the first round draft. If Miami won the National championship, maybe people would be talking about Mesidor more. But it is just me. Quarterbacks always get favored in the draft.

    Cleveland Browns: A

Browns receive a solid A for simply no effort. They select the best offensive lineman in the draft.

    Philadelphia Eagles: B

Makai Lemon was on the phone with the Pittsburgh Steelers just before the Eagles drafted him. I think Lemon has the most upside of any receiver but AJ Brown needs to bleed green another year.

    Seattle Seahawks: A

Jadarian Price is a great payday for him and Seattle. They lose Kenneth Walker but Price displays more than a one-cut style.
